The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) has decided to transfer the responsibility of e-khata corrections from joint commissioners to deputy commissioners. The announcement was made by GBA Chief Commissioner M Maheshwar Rao on Tuesday.
Reason for the Change
Rao explained that the decision was driven by the heavy workload on joint commissioners. By delegating the task to deputy commissioners, the authority aims to expedite the correction process and reduce delays.
Impact on Citizens
This administrative shift is expected to benefit property owners in Bengaluru who have been facing issues with e-khata records. The deputy commissioners will now handle corrections, which may lead to faster resolution of discrepancies.
The GBA continues to focus on improving digital land records management. Further updates on the implementation will be shared in due course.
