A tragic road accident on the Bharatmala Expressway near Asotara village in the Jasol police station area of Balotra district claimed the lives of three family members and left three others seriously injured on Sunday. According to police reports, a speeding Scorpio lost control and overturned on the highway.
Incident Details
The accident occurred on the Asotara-Kitnod border stretch of the Bharatmala Expressway. Police stated that approximately a dozen people were traveling in the vehicle, which was moving at high speed. The driver lost control, causing the car to overturn and suffer extensive damage.
Rescue and Medical Response
Upon receiving information, a team from Jasol police station rushed to the spot and initiated relief and rescue operations with the assistance of local residents. The injured were promptly transported to the district hospital in Balotra via ambulance and with help from bystanders. Medical officials confirmed that treatment is ongoing, and some of the injured remain in serious condition.

The victims were identified as residents of Thavar village in Mehsana district, Gujarat. The deceased and injured include:

- Ajmal (35, injured)
- Namulum (Ajmal's brother, injured)
- Hitesh Bhai (32, injured)
- Ajmal's child (deceased)
Police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances leading to the accident. Authorities have urged drivers to exercise caution on expressways and adhere to speed limits.
