Naik T Dorjee, a veteran of the Turtuk sector during Operation Vijay in 1999, received honors. Dorjee, who lives in Shyo village within Tawang district, actively promotes village-based ecotourism in border areas.
Naib Subedar Tsering Topgyal from Gomkang village in Tawang district also earned recognition. After retiring, Topgyal dedicated himself to cultivating medicinal plants and rare species. He gained recognition for his scientific expertise in grafting and plantation techniques, receiving appreciation from both central and state governments.

The celebration featured performances by the Army band, adding a musical dimension to the solemn occasion. Attendees also visited the legendary Major Bob Khathing museum, connecting with historical military heritage.
