Event Context

During an ‘Intellectual Meet’ in Hyderabad, marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 12 years in office, Singh remarked that every rupee of India’s budget is being utilized to strengthen the country’s security. He also highlighted that there are no corruption allegations against the NDA government.

Response to Opposition

Singh noted, “The opposition questioned our response to the Pehalgam attack, but we have been exporting defense equipment. We have shown the enemy,” referring to Pakistan, “that we can cut off their water and grain by stopping the water treaty.”

Credit to Armed Forces

He expressed that he does not want to take credit for this work, stating that the credit should go to the army and the entire defense system for their selfless efforts. He added, “At one point during Congress’s rule, we hardly exported any defense weapons; now we are exporting to 100 countries.”
