Historic Flag Hoisting Ceremony at Ayodhya's Ram Temple
In a significant event for devotees across India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to preside over a historic flag hoisting ceremony at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya on Tuesday. The preparations for this momentous occasion were personally reviewed by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who visited the temple city on Monday to ensure flawless execution.
CM Yogi's On-Ground Review and Directives
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached Ayodhya to conduct a thorough inspection of the arrangements made by the temple administration and district authorities. He directed officials to leave no stone unturned in ensuring the event proceeds seamlessly. His review concluded with specific instructions to the team on the ground, emphasizing the national importance of the ceremony.
The Sacred Flag and Its Deep Symbolism
The flag to be hoisted is a grand, triangular saffron banner measuring 10 feet high and 20 feet long. It is rich with symbolism, featuring a radiant sun, the sacred inscription "Om", and the Kovidara tree. This design represents Lord Shri Ram's courage and the guiding principles of Ramrajya, making it far more than a simple piece of cloth.
Prime Minister's Schedule and Auspicious Timing
According to the detailed schedule, Prime Minister Modi will begin by greeting the residents of Ayodhya. Around 10 am, he will offer prayers at the Saptmandir complex, followed by visits to the Sheshavatar Temple and the Mata Annapurna Temple. His final prayers will be offered in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Darbar.
The pinnacle of the event, the flag hoisting, is strategically aligned with the auspicious Abhijit Muhurta on Vivah Panchami. This timing marks the wedding anniversary of Shri Ram and Mata Sita, adding profound spiritual significance to the ceremony. At noon, the Prime Minister will hoist the ceremonial flag atop the temple's shikhar.
