Shobha Surendran, the BJP candidate contesting from Palakkad, has launched a vigorous counter-offensive against the allegations. She has publicly challenged both media organizations and political rivals to provide concrete evidence proving that the individuals visible in the controversial video footage are indeed BJP workers. In a strongly worded statement on Thursday, Surendran dismissed the video evidence as nothing more than a carefully orchestrated "drama" created through collaboration between certain media outlets and Congress workers.
The BJP candidate raised significant questions about the credibility of the allegations, particularly questioning the claim that a woman had traveled all the way from Mumbai specifically to distribute money within Palakkad constituency.
