Haryana CM Saini Hails PM Modi's 12 Years in Office

Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and senior BJP functionaries on Tuesday hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 12 years in office, describing the period as one of development, and good and welfare-driven governance.

Chief Minister's Letter to PM

In a letter to the Prime Minister, Saini said the past 12 years had improved service delivery and advanced the vision of a self-reliant and developed India. The Chief Minister also cited the impact of flagship schemes, noting that nearly 15 lakh women received free LPG connections under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, while 2.18 lakh women had become 'Lakhpati Didis'. Highlighting Haryana's progress, Saini said Modi shared a special bond with the state and had visited it 17 times, announcing major development projects. He added that Haryana was now connected by 22 national highways spanning 1,390 km, providing highway connectivity to all districts.

Minister Vij's Remarks

Haryana energy, transport and labour minister Anil Vij described Modi's tenure as a 'new era of development, national pride and inclusive governance'. Speaking after a havan at Sanatan Dharma Temple in Ambala Cantonment, Vij said the Prime Minister had taken the country to new heights through the principle of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vishwas'.

Other Celebrations

Urban local bodies minister Vipul Goyal organised a prayer meeting in Faridabad, while Rajya Sabha MP Rekha Sharma chaired commemorative programmes in Panchkula.

Outreach Campaign Preparations

Chief Minister's principal secretary Arun Gupta reviewed preparations for a statewide outreach campaign until June 20. During a video conference with deputy commissioners, he directed officials to ensure the participation of ministers, MPs, MLAs and other public representatives in programmes highlighting government achievements, welfare schemes and infrastructure projects.
