Gadkari Calls for Youth Leadership Transition, Says Elders Should Step Aside
Gadkari Urges Generational Shift in Leadership Roles

Gadkari Advocates for Generational Leadership Change

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari made a compelling case for leadership transition on Sunday. He stressed that the older generation should step aside once systems operate smoothly. This move would allow younger individuals to assume control and drive progress forward.

Pressing for Youth Involvement in Nagpur

Gadkari addressed a press conference in Nagpur ahead of the Advantage Vidarbha–Khasdar Audhyogik Mahotsav. He expressed his firm belief in gradually handing responsibilities to the next generation. The industrial expo, conceptualized by Gadkari himself, is organized by Ashish Kale, president of the Association for Industrial Development.

Gadkari highlighted Kale's significant role in the initiative. He noted that the project actively involves young people. "I believe that gradually, the generation should also change," Gadkari stated emphatically.

Personal Connections and Future Vision

Referring to his long-standing association with Kale's family, Gadkari shared a personal insight. "Ashish's father is my friend. Now we should be gradually made to retire and the responsibility be given to the new generation," he explained. Gadkari added that when systems run smoothly, elders should withdraw and explore other endeavors.

As the chief mentor of AID, Gadkari announced the third edition of the Advantage Vidarbha expo. The event will take place in Nagpur from February 6 to 8. He pointed out Vidarbha's strong entrepreneurial talent across multiple sectors. The expo aims to position the region as a growing industrial hub on India's map.

Key Pillars of Regional Development

Gadkari emphasized three critical areas for regional growth:

  • The industrial sector
  • Agriculture and allied activities
  • The services sector

He asserted that balanced development across these pillars is essential for sustained economic progress. The expo will feature participation from diverse industries, including:

  1. Textiles and plastics
  2. Minerals and coal
  3. Aviation and logistics
  4. IT and healthcare
  5. Pharmaceuticals and defence
  6. Real estate and renewable energy
  7. Startups

This broad representation underscores Vidarbha's potential as a dynamic industrial center. Gadkari's vision combines leadership renewal with concrete economic initiatives to foster regional prosperity.
