Ayodhya Transforms into Fortress Ahead of Ram Temple Flag Hoisting Ceremony
Ayodhya High-Security Zone for Ram Temple Event

The sacred city of Ayodhya has been transformed into an impregnable security fortress as preparations intensify for the historic 'dhawajarohan' ceremony at the Ram temple. The town is witnessing one of the most extensive security deployments in recent memory ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit.

Unprecedented Security Measures Implemented

Heavy security blanket has been thrown across Ayodhya with specialized units from multiple agencies working in coordinated shifts. The administration has established an elaborate multi-tier security grid involving 6,970 personnel drawn from elite units including the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), National Security Guard (NSG) sniper teams, cyber cells, and technical squads.

Security operations are being monitored round-the-clock through advanced technological surveillance systems. Nearly 90 technical experts and cyber commandos are maintaining real-time monitoring of both digital activity and ground movements across the city.

VIP Movements and Roadshow Security

The security apparatus is particularly focused on the Prime Minister's roadshow along the 2.5 km stretch of Ram Path between Saket Degree College and Shringar Haat. Movement of pedestrians, vehicles, and public transport has been completely prohibited on this route to ensure security during the VVIP movement.

"Our objective is to ensure that no unverified person is allowed to move on Ram Path during the roadshow," stated a senior police officer deployed in Ayodhya. Wooden barricades have been installed along the entire route since Monday evening to regulate unauthorized movement.

Comprehensive Security Grid Activated

The security deployment extends beyond the immediate event venues. Strict vigilance is being maintained at the airport, highways, roads, and Saryu river banks to prevent any untoward incidents. Senior police officers ranging from Superintendents of Police to Deputy Superintendents are stationed at strategic locations across the city.

Specialized units including bomb squads, dog squads, fire units, VVIP protection teams, and rapid response groups have been positioned at critical points. Drone surveillance has been activated across sensitive stretches under a dedicated anti-drone system, while sniper teams maintain watch from elevated positions.

Traffic management has become a massive exercise with inspectors, sub-inspectors, and more than 800 personnel regulating movement on key routes. Barricades have been installed at major intersections, with additional staff deployed for parking management around high-density zones.

Cultural Welcome Amid Security

Despite the tight security, the local administration has arranged a traditional welcome for the dignitaries. 5,000 women have been enlisted to welcome Prime Minister Modi with 'puja thalis' and flower showers, blending cultural traditions with the high-security protocols.

The event is expected to witness the presence of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath alongside Prime Minister Modi, making it one of the most significant religious gatherings in Ayodhya in recent years.
