Amit Shah Inspires Youth to Build India into Global Leader by 2047
Union Home Minister Amit Shah delivered a powerful message to young graduates on Tuesday. He called upon them to dedicate their lives to nation-building. Shah spoke at the 15th convocation ceremony of Charusat University in Changa, Anand district.
India's Economic Ascent Creates Unprecedented Opportunities
Shah highlighted India's remarkable economic progress. He stated that the country moved from the 11th to the 4th largest economy in just eleven years. Projections show India will become the world's third largest economy by December 31, 2027.
"This rapid growth opens unprecedented opportunities for our youth and women," Shah emphasized during his address.
The Home Minister pointed to significant achievements in digital and manufacturing sectors. He noted that nearly half of all global digital transactions now occur in India. The nation is fast emerging as a major global manufacturing hub.
Value-Based Education and National Responsibility
Amit Shah invoked the legacy of two great leaders. He remembered Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and cooperative pioneer Tribhuvandas Patel. Tribhuvandas Patel spearheaded the cooperative movement that created Amul.
"Knowledge without character remains incomplete," Shah told the gathering. He stressed that education extends beyond degrees and skills. True education encompasses discipline and service to the nation.
The Union Minister highlighted educational reforms under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. He pointed to substantial growth in higher education institutions over the past decade. Universities, colleges, and professional institutions have increased significantly across India.
Convocation Ceremony and Call to Action
The convocation ceremony honored 2,794 graduating students. This group included 1,076 women and 1,718 men. Forty-five meritorious students received gold medals for their academic excellence. Thirty-eight scholars were awarded PhD degrees during the event.
Shah congratulated all graduates on their achievements. He urged them to take a solemn pledge. The Home Minister asked them to excel in their chosen professions while contributing to national development.
"Work towards making India number one in the world by 2047," Shah challenged the young graduates. This year will mark 100 years of India's independence.
The Union Home Minister expressed firm confidence in India's trajectory. He asserted that the country is firmly on course to become a global leader across all sectors by 2047. This vision requires dedicated participation from the younger generation.
Shah concluded that such rapid national transformation places greater responsibility on youth. They must contribute meaningfully to society while upholding strong values and character.
