NEW DELHI: Akhil Gogoi of the Raijor Dal emerged victorious in the Sibsagar Assembly constituency, securing a total of 86,521 votes. He defeated Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Kushal Dowari by a decisive margin of 17,272 votes in the 2026 Assam Assembly elections.
