A 22-year-old man lost his life, and three others sustained injuries in a head-on collision between two cars near Tejaji Nagar bridge on the AB Road bypass in Indore. The incident occurred around 1 am on Tuesday, prompting immediate response from local authorities.
Details of the Accident
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Narendra Rawat confirmed that police arrived at the scene promptly and transported the injured to MY Hospital for medical treatment. Sub-Inspector (SI) Avinash Nagar provided further details about the vehicles involved. One car carried Pratham Choudhary (22), a resident of Rangwasa, along with Krishna (30) and Chetan Choudhary (35), both from Sanwer. The second car was driven by Yuvraj (29), also a resident of Sanwer.
Pratham Choudhary succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the hospital, while the other injured individuals are currently undergoing medical care. The condition of the injured has not been disclosed by hospital authorities.
Impact and Investigation
The collision was so powerful that both vehicles sustained extensive damage to their front sections and appeared to have changed direction after the crash. This initially made it challenging for investigators to determine the exact sequence of events leading to the accident. A case has been registered, and police are working to ascertain where the occupants were coming from and where they were heading at the time of the crash. The body of the deceased has been sent for postmortem examination to aid in the investigation.
Authorities are also examining the possibility of overspeeding or negligence as contributing factors. Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
