Alleged Negligence and Legal Action

It is alleged that due to extensive stone extraction activities, a deep pit had formed at the quarry site. This pit had accumulated rainwater, reaching a depth of approximately 20 feet, which posed a significant hazard.

Based on the complaint filed, the Brahmavar police station has registered a case against the quarry operators and others involved. The case invokes Section 106(1) read with Section 34 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for alleged negligence leading to the death.

The authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident to determine the extent of responsibility and ensure such tragedies are prevented in the future.
