Woman Dies on Spot in Horrific Truck Collision
A tragic road accident in Madhya Pradesh's Chhatarpur district has claimed the life of a 40-year-old woman. The incident occurred on Tuesday in Garhi Malhara town when a speeding truck collided with the motorcycle on which she was riding pillion.
The deceased has been identified as Ramkunwar Kushwaha, wife of Rajju Kushwaha, from Badua village. She had visited Garhi Malhara for some work and was returning home with her husband when the disaster struck.
How the Accident Unfolded
Eyewitness accounts and a video that surfaced on Wednesday paint a grim picture. The truck, reportedly moving at high speed, brushed past the motorcycle from the side. This caused the two-wheeler to lose balance violently.
Ramkunwar Kushwaha fell onto the road and, in a matter of seconds, was run over by the same truck. She sustained severe injuries to her chest and abdomen and died on the spot. Her husband, who was riding the motorcycle, had a narrow escape and remained physically unhurt but was forced to witness the horrific death of his wife.
Public Anger and Police Action
Enraged locals caught the truck driver when he attempted to flee the scene after the accident. The driver was assaulted by the crowd before being admitted to the district hospital for treatment. The truck involved bears the registration number UP 77 AN 4198 and was on a journey from Chennai to Kanpur.
Police were informed and promptly reached the location. The victim's body was sent to the district hospital with assistance from a 108 ambulance service. Authorities have registered a case (marg) and are actively working to trace the truck driver's movements and gather evidence using available CCTV footage. Further investigation is currently underway.
