Kasaragod: Rajapuram police in Kasaragod have registered a case against a woman on charges of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old boy. The incident came to light when Hosdurg police were recording the statement of the boy, who was arrested in another POCSO case in which he allegedly sexually abused a four-year-old girl.
Details of the Case
The teenage boy allegedly assaulted the four-year-old girl while they were at the district hospital in Kanhangad. Hosdurg police registered a POCSO case against the boy based on a complaint lodged by the girl's parents. During interrogation in connection with that case, the boy revealed that he had also been sexually assaulted by a 36-year-old woman. Following his revelation, the police registered a fresh case under sections of the POCSO Act against the woman.
Investigation Underway
Police officials confirmed that an investigation has been initiated in the case. They are gathering evidence and recording statements from all parties involved. The woman has been booked under relevant sections of the POCSO Act, and further legal proceedings are expected to follow.
The case highlights the complex nature of sexual abuse cases, where victims may also be perpetrators. Authorities are handling the matter with sensitivity, ensuring that both the minor victims receive appropriate support and counseling.
