Police in Vadodara have launched a manhunt for an unidentified driver after a speeding car crashed into three people in a late-night hit-and-run incident, leaving them with serious injuries.

Late-Night Horror Near Sports Complex

The incident occurred at around 10:30 PM on Tuesday near the Sama Indoor Sports Complex. According to the First Information Report (FIR) lodged at the Sama police station, a car moving at high speed first struck a vegetable vendor, Vinodkumar Agarwal, from behind.

Fifty-one-year-old Agarwal was pushing his vegetable handcart at the time. The collision caused serious injuries to his right foot. The car did not stop and proceeded to hit another street vendor and a senior citizen couple who were riding a motorcycle.

Victims Rushed to Hospital

The impact was severe. The woman riding pillion on the two-wheeler suffered a serious head injury. The man driving the motorcycle also sustained injuries but is reported to be out of danger. All the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital by locals who witnessed the shocking event.

Officials from the Sama police station confirmed that an investigation is underway. Police teams have begun searching for the vehicle, which was captured in CCTV footage from the area. However, the driver remains unidentified and at large.

Police Case Filed, Search Intensifies

Based on the complaint filed by vendor Vinodkumar Agarwal, the police have registered a case against the unknown driver of the four-wheeler. The charges include rash driving on a public way and endangering the personal safety of others.

Authorities are examining the CCTV footage and appealing to the public for any information that could lead to identifying the car and the person behind the wheel. The search for the vehicle involved in the reckless act is actively ongoing as the victims recover from their ordeal.
