In a shocking incident that has rattled the Tandalja area of Vadodara, a local businessman fell victim to a violent robbery perpetrated by three unidentified assailants. The crime, which occurred on Wednesday evening, saw the victim threatened with a knife and forcibly relieved of a substantial sum of cash along with his personal belongings.
Details of the Terrifying Ordeal
According to the official complaint filed at the JP Road police station on Thursday, the victim, identified as Hussain Saherwala, was returning to his residence on his two-wheeler when the incident unfolded. As he made his way home, he was abruptly intercepted by a trio of men who blocked his path.
The situation escalated rapidly when one of the accused brandished a knife, issuing direct threats to Saherwala. Under this menacing coercion, the businessman was compelled to hand over a significant amount of money—Rs 3.5 lakh in cash. Not content with just the cash, the perpetrators also seized his mobile phone before making a swift escape from the scene, leaving the victim shaken but physically unharmed.
