US Survivor Returns Home After Karnataka Legal Formalities

MYSURU/MADIKERI: The survivor in the sexual assault case has returned to the United States after completing all medico-legal formalities in Karnataka, a senior police officer confirmed to TOI on Friday. She departed from Bengaluru on Thursday.

Investigation Progress

The officer stated that the investigation is being conducted by an inspector from Kutta police station. The two accused—Brijesh, the cook, and homestay owner Vishal Ponnappa—will be taken into custody for interrogation once the formalities related to evidence collection and examination are completed, the police officer added.
