Unnao Farmer Abducted and Murdered in Gangaghat Area; Three Suspects Arrested
In a shocking incident in the Gangaghat police station area of Unnao, a farmer was allegedly abducted from his home, brutally beaten, and murdered. The police have arrested three individuals in connection with the case and are actively searching for others involved.
Details of the Abduction and Murder
Shiv Dayal Shukla, the son of the victim, identified as 52-year-old Manokant Shukla, reported that on the night of March 8, a group of 7-8 people, including Vipin Singh and Chhotu Sanki, forcibly took his father away from their residence in Basadhna. Family members alleged that the accused subjected Manokant to a severe beating before murdering him and dumping his body near Singhupur.
The body was later discovered, prompting the family to file a complaint at the local chowki. However, they claimed that no immediate action was taken, leading to further distress.
Police Investigation and Arrests
CO (City) Deepak Yadav stated that a formal case was registered at the Gangaghat police station on March 9, based on a complaint filed by the deceased's wife, Suman. The investigation revealed that the accused, Vipin and Chhotu Sanki, were known to frequent the victim's home. A dispute reportedly erupted on the night of the incident, escalating into the abduction and murder.
Upon confirmation of the murder, relevant sections were added to the case. The police have arrested three accused: Vipin Singh, Chhotu Sanki, and another individual named Ajay. Efforts are ongoing to trace and apprehend other possible suspects involved in the crime.

Local representatives visited the post-mortem house on Tuesday after learning about the incident, offering support to the grieving family members. The police have assured that further legal proceedings are underway, with a focus on ensuring justice for the victim and his family.
