Unlocked door leads to theft of gadgets worth Rs 6.6 lakh

Bengaluru: Stepping out for early-morning coffee turned costly when thieves struck at a house on 19th Main, NGR Layout in Roopenna Agrahara and made away with gadgets and valuables worth around Rs 6.6 lakh.

Incident Details

Karthik N, 26, and Tarun, both private firm employees, were staying in a rented house. Karthik and Tarun had each been provided a MacBook by their companies for work.

Karthik checked his belongings at 3am on June 13 before going to sleep. Around 6.45am, Tarun stepped out to have coffee and left the house door unlocked. Karthik was asleep in another room at the time.

When Tarun returned around 7.15am, he found two MacBooks worth about Rs 5 lakh, iPhone costing Rs 1.3 lakh, iWatch worth approximately Rs 25,000 and a wallet containing cash and identity cards were missing.
