Krishnagiri: Two youths were found burnt to death in separate incidents near Krishnagiri on Monday. The tragic discovery was made when locals spotted two male bodies charred on the roadside in Veppalampattiy and Kodukur, along the road leading to Rayakottai near Krishnagiri.
Upon noticing the gruesome scene, residents immediately alerted the Krishnagiri taluk police. The police team arrived at the spot, recovered the bodies, and sent them to the Krishnagiri Government Medical College and Hospital for postmortem examination. The district superintendent of police (SP), P Thangadurai, personally conducted an in-person investigation at the crime scenes.
Police are actively investigating to establish the identities of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding their deaths. A sniffer dog was deployed to assist in the investigation, even as a hunt is underway for the perpetrators. The SP confirmed that a special team of eight inspectors has been formed to investigate the case. A case has been registered, and further details are awaited.
