The shooting for the upcoming web series Dil Cheer Ke Dekh has been successfully completed, with actors Aniruddh Dave, Angel Rai, and Anud Singh Dhaka wrapping up their portions. Directed by Dharmesh Patel and produced by Lucknow-based producer Sachin Pandey, the series was extensively filmed across various locations in and around Lucknow, aiming to bring the city's essence to the screen.
Aniruddh Dave's Experience in Lucknow
Sharing his experience, Aniruddh revealed that the team spent over a month shooting in the city of Nawabs. "The story is deeply rooted in the culture and backdrop of Lucknow, and that makes the project even more special," he said. "I am particularly excited about my character, as I play an antagonist in the series. It is a challenging and layered role, something audiences will get to see in a completely new light."
Shooting Across Iconic Locations
The actor recalled how the production travelled across several iconic locations to capture the authenticity of the narrative. The shoot commenced in Ayodhya, where Aniruddh's character is portrayed as a politician. "Shooting in Ayodhya was a mesmerizing experience. We filmed at the ghats and the iconic Lata Mangeshkar Chowk, both of which added tremendous visual appeal to the scenes. The spiritual atmosphere of the city left a lasting impression on all of us," he shared.
Apart from Ayodhya, the team explored numerous locations across Lucknow and its neighbouring regions. One of the memorable experiences for Aniruddh was shooting in Mallihabad, renowned for its mango orchards. "I witnessed something fascinating there, a multi-grafted mango tree bearing different varieties of mangoes on a single tree. It was the first time I had seen something like that, and I was genuinely amazed," he said.
Local Talent Takes Center Stage
A noteworthy aspect of Dil Cheer Ke Dekh is its strong representation of local talent. More than 25 actors from Lucknow have been cast in significant roles in the series. Aniruddh believes this is a positive step towards giving regional artists the recognition they deserve. "Lucknow is home to some exceptionally talented actors. During the shoot, I had the opportunity to work with many of them, and their dedication and skill were truly impressive. It is encouraging to see local artists being entrusted with pivotal roles rather than being confined to the background. They are fortunate to be able to showcase their talent while working in their own city," he remarked.
The series promises to blend the cultural richness of Lucknow with a compelling narrative, featuring a mix of established and emerging talent.
