Dwarka Helper Siphons Off Rs 3.2 Lakh from Bank Account
The first arrest involved a 21-year-old man identified as Munna Kumar, originally from Shimla. According to police, Kumar was employed as a helper and allegedly misused his position to siphon off more than Rs 3.2 lakh from his employer's bank account. The incident took place in the Dwarka area of southwest Delhi. The police acted swiftly on the employer's complaint, leading to Kumar's detention.
NS Mandi Shop Theft: Rs 5 Lakh Stolen from Basement
In an unrelated case from northwest Delhi, police took into custody a 19-year-old helper named Mahesh Varma. He stands accused of stealing Rs 5 lakh in cash from his employer's shop located at NS Mandi. The theft occurred on December 10, when Varma allegedly took the cash that was stored in the shop's basement and fled the scene.
Recovery and Arrests
Following investigations, the police tracked down and arrested Mahesh Varma from the Adarsh Nagar area. Upon his arrest, authorities managed to recover Rs 1 lakh in cash and a gold earring. The recovery operation is ongoing as police work to retrieve the remaining stolen amount. Both accused are currently in police custody as the legal process moves forward.
