Kanpur Sees Two Devastating Fires in Separate Locations
Kanpur faced two serious fire incidents over consecutive nights, resulting in significant property damage. Fortunately, both events concluded without any loss of life or injuries to residents.
Furniture Shop Blaze on Mandhana-Bithoor Road
A fire erupted late Tuesday night at a furniture fabricator's shop located on Mandhana-Bithoor Road. Police officer Premnarayan Vishwakarma, who was patrolling the area, noticed flames around 1:30 AM. He quickly alerted the fire brigade and contacted the shop owner, Ashwani Sharma.
A fire tender from Shivrajpur station arrived promptly and managed to control the blaze after intense efforts. The owner, residing in Ramdevipuram Mandhana, suggested a short circuit might have caused the fire.
The inferno destroyed plastic and wooden furniture valued between Rs 35 to Rs 40 lakh. Additional items lost in the fire included a scooter, an air conditioner, an inverter, a laptop, and a printer. Police authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident.
Apartment Fire at Geetika Heights in Kohna
