Two Truck Crew Members Killed in Horrific Collision on Agra-Mumbai Highway
A devastating road accident on the Agra-Mumbai national highway in Barwani district resulted in the tragic deaths of two individuals on Wednesday. The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of the Bijasan police outpost in the Sendhwa rural area, highlighting ongoing safety concerns on this crucial transportation corridor.
Details of the Fatal Collision
According to Bijasan outpost in-charge Rohit Patidar, the accident took place on a downhill section of the highway where one truck violently rammed into another vehicle moving ahead. The impact was so severe that it proved immediately fatal for both occupants of the following truck.
The deceased have been identified as:
- Abdul Ansari
- Jagannath Dangi
Both victims were residents of Shajapur district, with one serving as the driver and the other as the cleaner (co-driver) of the vehicle.
Severe Impact and Rescue Efforts
Officials described the collision as particularly destructive, with the front portion of the truck completely demolished in the crash. The force of impact was so extreme that both victims became trapped inside the cabin, requiring specialized equipment for extraction.
Emergency responders called in a crane to assist with the recovery operation. After nearly an hour of concerted effort, rescue personnel successfully extracted the bodies from the wreckage.
