The victim, identified as Nikita Chand, a native of Deoria who worked as a beautician in the Delhi-NCR region, was found deceased near milestone 130 in the Baldev area on April 13. Initially, a case was registered against unidentified persons under BNS section 103(1) for murder.

During the investigation, police uncovered that Nikita had traveled to Vrindavan on April 12 with a friend and later met with Brajesh Kumar Singh, her lover. According to SHO Pushpendra Singh, a heated argument erupted between Nikita and Brajesh over marriage pressures, leading to her being strangled to death by Brajesh and his accomplice, Vikas Singh.

The encounter occurred when police attempted to arrest the suspects. Brajesh Kumar Singh, 28, from Auraiya, and Vikas Singh, 24, from Etawah, both sustained bullet injuries in their legs during the confrontation. DSP Shweta Verma confirmed that the injured were transported to a hospital for medical treatment.

Evidence Recovered and Legal Actions

Authorities have recovered significant evidence from the scene, including two country-made pistols, four cartridges, a Honda car used in the incident, and the victim's Aadhaar and ATM cards. A separate FIR has been filed against the accused under BNS Section 109 for attempt to murder and the Arms Act for firing at police officers.
