A 45-year-old truck driver was brutally murdered near Kadugodi in Bengaluru late on Tuesday night, with police suspecting a robbery attempt gone wrong. The victim, identified as Ramesh, a native of Andhra Pradesh, was found bludgeoned to death near his parked truck on the outskirts of the city.

The incident occurred around 11:30 PM when Ramesh had stopped his truck near a secluded area in Kadugodi to take a rest. According to preliminary investigations, unidentified assailants attacked him with a blunt object, causing severe head injuries. Passersby noticed the body early Wednesday morning and alerted the police.

The Whitefield police have registered a case of murder and are probing the possibility of robbery as the motive. The victim's mobile phone and some cash were missing from the scene. Senior police officials visited the spot and collected evidence, including CCTV footage from nearby establishments.
