Passengers Panic as Criminals Rob Moving Train Near Buxar
Late Saturday night, panic spread through a passenger train near Buxar. Two criminals boarded the moving train and carried out a brazen robbery. They targeted passengers in one coach, snatching valuables from men and women alike.
Chaos and Injury During the Robbery
The criminals created chaos inside the compartment. One passenger, Suraj Thakur, tried to resist them. The criminals pushed him during the struggle, causing injuries. Thakur comes from Binod Matiyani village in Gopalganj district.
Eyewitnesses described the criminals as acting fearlessly. They escaped under the cover of darkness after the robbery. The injured passenger received hospital treatment. Other frightened passengers continued their journey to Buxar station.
Police Launch Investigation
Following the incident, authorities filed an FIR at the GRP station in Buxar. Railway DSP Kanchan Raj visited the spot. Danapur GRP circle inspector Sudhir Kumar also arrived and questioned affected passengers.
GRP station house officer Vikas Kumar confirmed two criminals were involved. He stated women passengers were among those targeted. "One passenger was injured in the incident," Kumar said.
GRP inspector Sudhir Kumar announced a detailed investigation had begun. "Suspects are being questioned and CCTV footage is being examined to identify the criminals," he explained.
Details of the Incident
The robbery occurred on the Fatuha-Buxar Passenger train, numbered 53261. It happened between Baruna and Buxar stations. This section falls on the Danapur-DDU rail route.
Police officials are now working to track down the criminals. They are examining all available evidence from the late-night train robbery.
