In a significant breakthrough, a joint team of the Bihar Special Task Force (STF) and Patna police successfully apprehended a notorious criminal from the state's most-wanted list on Saturday. The operation led to the arrest of Pintu Yadav, also infamously known as Pintu Gop, from the Ramakrishna Nagar area of the state capital.
A Long Trail of Criminal Activities
The arrested individual, Pintu Yadav, was not an ordinary offender but featured prominently among the top-10 most wanted criminals in the region. His criminal portfolio is extensive and severe, spanning multiple police stations across Patna district. Police records indicate that Yadav was involved in a recent robbery case registered under the Masaurhi police station.
His legal history is a chronicle of serious crimes. Authorities confirmed that nine criminal cases are already lodged against him in various police stations of Patna. The charges in these cases are grave and include murder, armed robbery, dacoity, and multiple violations under the Arms Act.
Involvement in High-Profile Murder Cases
Pintu Yadav's alleged crimes extend to some of the most sensational murder cases that have shaken Patna and its adjoining areas. Investigators have named him as an accused in the high-profile murders of Bablu Gope and Munna Singh in the Fatuha region. Furthermore, he is also implicated in a brutal double murder case in Qadirganj.
These cases had created widespread fear and posed a major challenge for law enforcement agencies, making his capture a high-priority objective for the police force.
Recent Foray into Illegal Land Grabbing
Beyond violent crimes, Pintu Yadav had recently diversified his illegal operations. Police sources revealed that he had actively ventured into illegal land grabbing activities in the Parsa and Punpun areas on the outskirts of Patna. He was allegedly operating in collusion with organized land mafias, using intimidation and force to seize properties.
This shift to land-related crimes highlighted his evolving threat to not just public safety but also to property rights and civil order in the region.
The arrest by the Bihar STF and Patna police is seen as a major victory in the ongoing crackdown against organized crime and mafia elements in the state. It is expected to provide crucial leads for solving several pending serious cases and disrupt the networks involved in illegal land occupation.
