In a swift operation, Udupi police have apprehended three individuals in connection with a theft at the Byndoor bus stand. The incident, which occurred recently, had caused concern among commuters and local residents. The arrested suspects have been identified as Ravi, Suresh, and Manjunath, all residents of the surrounding area.
Incident Details
The theft took place during the late hours when the bus stand was relatively deserted. The trio reportedly targeted the ticket counter and broke into the safe, stealing a significant amount of cash. The theft was discovered the next morning by the bus stand staff, who immediately alerted the police.
Police Investigation
Upon receiving the complaint, a team from Byndoor police station led by Inspector Kumar launched an investigation. Through careful examination of CCTV footage and gathering of intelligence, the police were able to identify the suspects within 24 hours. The three were subsequently arrested from their hideouts in different parts of the district.
During interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime and revealed the location where they had hidden the stolen money. The police recovered the entire amount, along with some tools used in the burglary.
