Three Arrested for Hacking Man to Death in Pune

Pune: Phursungi police have arrested three youngsters for hacking Akash alias Rana Mohan Kamble (23), a resident of Phursungi, to death around 10pm on Tuesday over an old dispute.

Arrests Made Swiftly

Senior Inspector Amol More of Phursungi police told TOI, "Later in the night, we identified the suspects and arrested them. The accused have been identified as Aditya Pingale (20), Omkar More (23), and Arun Yadav (24), all residents of Shewalwadi near Hadapsar."

Externment Violations

"Yadav had been externed from Pune city and district limits for two years, but he breached the externment order and was found in Pune. Similarly, Kamble too had been externed from Pune city and district limits, and his externment period ended about two months ago. Following this, we had taken preventive action against him," More said.

"Kamble was lodged in Yerawada Central Prison under preventive orders and was recently released," he added.

Background of the Incident

"Kamble was unemployed. He had an old rivalry with the suspects, and after spotting him alone, they assaulted him with sharp weapons," he said.

The police investigation is ongoing, and further details are awaited. The accused have been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
