The Telangana government carried out one of its largest bureaucratic reshuffles in recent months on Saturday night, transferring nearly 30 IAS officers across various cadres and reshaping the administrative landscape.
Key Appointments and Transfers
The reshuffle prominently included Hyderabad district collector Hari Chandana Dasari, signaling a significant realignment of responsibilities at the top level. Special Chief Secretary Sanjay Kumar has been moved to Telangana Bhavan in Delhi, while M Dana Kishore has been appointed Special Chief Secretary of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development. Kishore will also continue as Secretary to the Governor.
GHMC Zonal Commissioner G Mukunda Reddy has been posted as Special Commissioner of the Information and Public Relations Department.
District Collectors Shuffled
Seven district collectors have been changed. Priyanka Ala, a 2016 batch IAS officer of the Telangana cadre, is the new Hyderabad collector. She previously served as Secretary of the Telangana Public Service Commission and collector of Bhadradri Kothagudem.
Other key changes include B Viziendira, Secretary of TGWREIS, shifted to the Scheduled Castes Department. Hari Chandana has been appointed Secretary of Labour and Employment, replacing Dana Kishore, and will additionally hold charge of the Revenue Disaster Management Department.
Krishna Aditya, Director and Secretary of the Board of Intermediate Education, has been made Special Secretary of Industries and Commerce. Civil Supplies Director Zendage Hanumant Kondiba has been posted as CEO of Aarogyasri Health Care Trust, while Sangareddy district collector P Pravinya moves as Special Secretary of Roads and Buildings.
Other Notable Transfers
Tribal Welfare Director BM Santhosh has been appointed Special Secretary to the Government, Tribal Welfare. Khammam district collector Anudeep Durishetty has been posted as Joint Secretary to the Government, Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Department, with additional charge of Mines and Geology.
Nirmal collector Abhilasha Abhinav has been made Director and Secretary of the Board of Intermediate Education.
New District Collectors
At the district level, Bhavesh Mishra has been posted as Nirmal collector, Prateek Jain as Sangareddy collector, TS Divakara as Khammam collector, Bhorkhade Hemant Sahadeorao as Mulugu collector, Cheka Priyanka as Narayanpet collector, Hemant Keshav Patil as Nagarkurnool collector, and Manda Makarandu as Project Officer of ITDA.
Lenin Vatsal Toppo has been posted as Project Officer, ITDA Eturunagaram, while Kiranmayi Koppisetti and Yuvraj Marmat have been appointed Additional Collectors (Local Bodies) in Rangareddy and Asifabad respectively.
GHMC Zonal Commissioners Shuffled
Six zonal commissioners in Greater Hyderabad have also been shuffled, marking a comprehensive overhaul of the city's administrative machinery. Additional collectors also saw changes. Nagarkurnool's GV Shyam Prasad Lal has been posted as Director, Civil Supplies. GHMC Zonal Commissioner Apurv Chauhan has been appointed Project Director (CMRO) in the office of the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration.
