In a shocking incident that has rattled the city of Amravati, a 17-year-old youth was brutally stoned to death near the Badnera railway station premises on Sunday. The swift action by the crime branch led to the arrest of two adults and the detention of two minors in connection with the premeditated murder.
Swift Police Action and Arrests
Acting on information about the crime, senior officers from the Badnera police and the crime branch immediately reached the spot. The investigation was spearheaded by Senior Police Inspector Sandeep Chavan of the crime branch. Using technical evidence, the team successfully traced and detained the accused from Wadura village. The police have arrested Dipesh Samudre (21), a resident of Tilak Nagar in Badnera, and Piyush Bhoyar (19), from Juni Vasti, Badnera. Two minors, described as juveniles in conflict with law, have also been detained for their alleged involvement.
A Fatal Dispute Leads to Murder
Investigation has revealed a history of enmity behind the gruesome attack. According to police officials, the deceased, Kunal Telmore, who hailed from the Pawarwadi locality of Telipura in Badnera, had a dispute with Dipesh Samudre approximately five months ago. The tension escalated about eight days prior to the murder when Telmore allegedly assaulted Samudre. Telmore also had ongoing disputes with Samudre's associates, including Bhoyar and the two detained minors.
On the fateful Sunday, Samudre and Bhoyar allegedly hatched a plan to kill Telmore. They lured him to the railway station area on the pretext of a meeting. As soon as Telmore arrived at the designated spot, he was ambushed by Samudre, Bhoyar, and the minors, who attacked him with stones, leading to his tragic death.
A Disturbing Pattern of Violence
This murder has highlighted a serious and concerning trend in the Badnera area. This is the sixth murder reported in Badnera in the last six months, and alarmingly, all cases have involved minors either as victims or perpetrators. The repeated incidents point towards a growing issue of juvenile delinquency and violent crime in the locality, raising urgent questions about community safety and intervention strategies for at-risk youth.
The police are continuing their probe to uncover any further details or motives behind the killing. The community remains in a state of shock, demanding stronger measures to prevent such heinous crimes and break the cycle of violence that has gripped the area.
