The incident occurred on June 30, 2022, at a house in JP Nagar of Karatagi. The complaint filed by the survivor detailed that Hameed not only assaulted her but also used a slipper to inflict further harm, dragged her, and attempted to outrage her modesty, highlighting the severity of the attack.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the accused recorded videos of the sexual act on his cellphone.
