Sunjay Kapur Will Controversy Escalates as Sister Makes Explosive Allegations

The legal battle over late businessman Sunjay Kapur's estate has taken a dramatic turn with his sister Mandhira Kapur making explosive allegations during a recent podcast appearance. The controversy centers around a will that reportedly excludes Sunjay's biological children with ex-wife Karisma Kapoor while favoring his wife Priya Sachdev and her children from previous relationships.

"Stop Rewriting Lineage": Mandhira's Emotional Outburst

During her appearance on the InControversial Podcast, Mandhira Kapur did not hold back her emotions as she accused Priya Sachdev of attempting to "erase his bloodline" through the disputed will. She specifically objected to Safira, Priya's daughter from her previous marriage to Vikram Chatwal, being referred to as Sunjay's daughter in the document.

"Safira has been called the daughter in the will. Samaira is the daughter, not Safira. Safira is the stepdaughter. Her biological father is alive," Mandhira stated emphatically. While acknowledging that her brother cared for Safira, she insisted this didn't change the factual lineage that shouldn't be rewritten.

Suspicious Will Faces Legal Scrutiny

The legal proceedings took a significant turn when senior counsel Mahesh Jethmalani raised serious doubts about the will's authenticity before the Delhi High Court on October 13. The document presented by Priya Kapur reportedly names only Priya and her children Safira and Azarius while excluding Sunjay's biological children Samaira and Kiaan Kapur.

Jethmalani pointed to numerous inconsistencies in the will, including misspelled names and incorrect addresses - details he described as "bloopers" that cast doubt on the document's legitimacy. Mandhira echoed these concerns, stating her brother was too meticulous to make such errors in an important legal document.

Court Proceedings and Future Hearings

Sunjay Kapur's biological children with Karisma Kapoor - Samaira and Kiaan - have formally challenged the will in Delhi High Court, alleging it is "forged and fabricated" to deliberately exclude them from their father's estate.

Following a hearing on November 17, Joint Registrar Gagandeep Jindal has issued formal notices to Priya Kapur and Shradha Suri Marwah, the named executor of the disputed will. Both parties have been given three weeks to respond, with the next hearing scheduled for December 16.

Mandhira's emotional podcast statements have added fuel to the already intense legal fire, revealing the deep family divisions and raising fundamental questions about inheritance rights, blended families, and the authenticity of estate planning documents in high-profile cases.
