Gurgaon Police Nab Six After Viral Car Roof Stunt Video
Gurgaon police have taken swift action against reckless behavior on public roads. Officers arrested six individuals for performing dangerous stunts on the roof of a moving vehicle. The incident occurred in Sector 85, close to the busy Dwarka Expressway.
Viral Video Sparks Public Safety Concerns
A video capturing the risky act quickly spread across social media platforms. The footage showed multiple people standing and moving on the car's roof while it was in motion. This display raised immediate alarm among citizens and authorities about potential accidents.
Police registered a formal case on Monday. They charged the individuals with negligent and dangerous driving under relevant sections of the law. The Kherki Daula police station handled the investigation and made the arrests on Tuesday.
Identities and Details of the Accused
The arrested persons include Shaukin, aged 33, Manish, 32, Lokesh, 24, Subhash, 39, and Vikash, 29. All five hail from Alakhpura village in Bhiwani district. The sixth individual is Saleem, 35, a resident of Sulkhani village in Hisar district.
During questioning, the accused provided details about their movements. They stated they were returning from a party in Delhi. Their destination was Shaukin's office located in Daulatabad. Police have seized the vehicle involved in the incident. It is a Scorpio with registration number HR16AE5012, which belongs to Shaukin.
Police Issue Stern Warning to Public
Police spokesperson Sandeep Kumar addressed the media about the case. He emphasized the serious nature of such actions. "Such behavior represents gross negligence," Kumar stated. "It can easily result in fatal accidents on our roads."
Kumar made a direct appeal to citizens. He urged people to avoid performing stunts and acting irresponsibly on public roads. "We request everyone to prioritize safety and follow traffic rules," he said. "Gurgaon police will continue taking strict action against anyone who endangers public safety."
