A particularly heartbreaking accident near Jagadurthi in Dhone mandal of Nandyal district claimed the lives of three individuals from the same family. The deceased have been identified as Shantha, Siddhartha, and Bhargavi, all residents of Bengaluru. They were on a pilgrimage to Srisailam when their speeding car collided with a crane at high velocity. Tragically, all three lost their lives on the spot, leaving the local community in shock.

Rising Fatalities on Garuda Varadhi Expressway

Separately, on the Garuda Varadhi elevated expressway, a pillion rider fell from a speeding motorcycle and sustained severe injuries. In a further tragic turn, an unidentified vehicle ran over the individual, resulting in immediate death. The body was shifted to the SV Medical College mortuary for postmortem examination. This incident underscores a troubling trend, as the number of fatal mishaps on the Garuda Varadhi has been steadily increasing in recent months, raising alarms about expressway safety measures.

Additional Fatal Crashes in Anantapur and Kadapa Districts

In another tragic event near NH 63 on T Kothapalli in Gooty mandal of Anantapur district, two persons traveling on a motorcycle were struck by an SUV. The victims, identified as Bestha Ranga Swamy and Bestha Pavan, died on the spot before they could be transported to a hospital for medical attention.

Furthermore, near Boyenpalli in Rajampet mandal of Kadapa district, an autorickshaw driver named V Nagendra Babu was killed after his vehicle rammed into a truck at high speeds. Police have registered a case in connection with this accident and shifted the body for postmortem procedures.
