The victim, 70-year-old Narendra Barot, a resident of Naranpura, had visited the Bhadrakali temple with his wife for darshan. Before entering the temple, Barot parked his scooter right next to the wall of the Karanj police station, presumably believing it would be secure. However, when the elderly couple returned approximately 15 minutes later, the scooter was nowhere to be found.
After conducting a thorough search of the surrounding area and failing to locate the vehicle, Barot realized it had been stolen. He immediately approached the Karanj police station to report the incident, filing an official complaint regarding the theft of his scooter.
