Tragic Suicide at Dhurwa Dam in Ranchi
In a deeply distressing incident, a 40-year-old man identified as Sayyub died by suicide at the Dhurwa dam in Ranchi on Monday morning. This tragic event occurred merely a day after local boatmen had successfully rescued him from the same location, highlighting a heartbreaking turn of events.
Police Investigation and Details
Police authorities reported that Sayyub's body was discovered submerged in the water along the banks of the dam later on Monday. Nagri police station in-charge Praveen Kumar provided crucial details about the deceased, noting that he was originally from Panki block in Palamu district and worked as a daily wage laborer in Ranchi.
Praveen Kumar stated, "While we are awaiting further information from the victim's relatives, preliminary investigations suggest that family disputes may have been the triggering factor behind this tragic suicide. Police will formally register a case of unnatural death in connection with this incident."

Adding to the sorrow of the situation, it was revealed that on Sunday, just one day before his death, people operating boats at Dhurwa dam had managed to save Sayyub from a potentially fatal situation.
