Ranchi Police Nab Father and Sons in Fatal Assault Case
In a shocking incident from Ranchi, police have arrested a man and his two sons for allegedly beating an elderly man to death. The tragic event occurred in the Burdwan compound area, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Lalpur police station in the city. The arrest took place on January 31, following a violent altercation that led to the victim's demise.

City DSP K V Raman provided an update on Monday, revealing that the accused individuals were identified as Munna Kacchap and his two sons, Aman Kachhap and Aniket Kachhpap. All three are residents of the lower Burdwan compound area. They were apprehended on Sunday from their home, as part of the police investigation into the case.
The victim, Madheshwar Singh, aged 55, had stepped out of his home for an evening walk when he became involved in a dispute with the accused persons. During the confrontation, the accused allegedly assaulted Singh, causing him to fall unconscious. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him dead upon arrival, highlighting the severity of the attack.
Community Outrage and Legal Action
The incident sparked significant outrage among local residents. On Sunday, people blocked a road in Lalpur, demanding the swift arrest of the assailants. This protest underscored the community's anger and concern over the violent crime, putting pressure on law enforcement to act promptly.
In response, police have registered a case under multiple sections of the BNS 2023, including sections 127(2), 308(4), 115(2), 351(2), 117(2), 109, 103(1), and 3(5). The case has been filed against four individuals: Munna Kacchap, his two sons, and his wife. While the three male accused have been arrested, the woman is currently absconding, according to police statements. Authorities are actively searching for her to bring all involved to justice.
