According to police officials, the accused has been identified as Head Constable Mandeep Singh, who was posted at Police Lines Nawanshahr. The violence stemmed from an ongoing dispute between Mandeep Singh and his sister, Manjit Kaur, along with her husband, Gurpreet Singh.
On the fateful night, the argument between the three individuals escalated dramatically. In a fit of rage, the police constable is alleged to have used his official weapon. He fired at Gurpreet Singh from close range with his service revolver. The bullets struck Gurpreet in critical areas, leading to his immediate collapse.
