The operation, led by senior police inspector Arvind Pawar, unfolded near a housing society in Mhalunge, where the duo was apprehended following a meticulously planned trap.

According to police reports, the authorities confiscated 60 grams of hydroponic weed from the possession of the accused. Senior inspector Arvind Pawar stated, "We recovered 60gm of hydroponic weed worth Rs 6.5 lakh from their possession. The accused disclosed that a Mumbai-based supplier had provided the contraband for sale in Pune." This revelation highlights the inter-city drug network that law enforcement is actively targeting.
Background of the Accused
The primary suspect is a 24-year-old civil engineer hailing from Buldhana district, who resided in a prominent housing complex at Uttamnagar in Bavdhan. His accomplice, a 21-year-old from Jalgaon district, had recently moved to Pune in search of employment after completing his graduation. Investigations uncovered that both individuals were not only involved in peddling the drug but were also regular consumers themselves.
