Banaskantha Police Crack Major Silver Heist, Arrest Four Accused

In a significant breakthrough, the Banaskantha police have successfully cracked the high-profile Rs 30 lakh silver robbery that occurred near Tetoda village on the Deesa–Dhanera highway. Authorities have arrested four individuals directly involved in the crime, while the alleged mastermind behind the meticulously planned heist remains absconding.

The arrested accused have been identified as Sakarsinh Vaghela, Vipulsinh Vaghela, Liluba Vaghela, and Vikramsinh Chauhan. The Alleged Mastermind and Investigation Findings

Police investigations have revealed that the robbery was allegedly orchestrated by Bharat Rabari, a former employee of the Ahmedabad-based bullion trading firm who had resigned from his position approximately fifteen days prior to the incident. Banaskantha Superintendent of Police Prashant Sumbe provided crucial insights into the case.

"Our thorough investigations clearly indicate that Rabari had tipped off and coordinated with the accused to execute this robbery with precision," stated SP Sumbe. "His intimate knowledge of the company's vehicle logistics and transportation patterns proved instrumental in planning this criminal operation."

Police Response and Recovery Efforts

The Deesa–Dhanera highway route where the robbery occurred is frequently utilized for transporting jewellery and precious metals between Rajasthan and Gujarat, making it a vulnerable target for such crimes. Immediately following the incident, specialized teams from both Palanpur and Deesa police divisions launched extensive raids across multiple locations.

"Our teams conducted swift raids and questioned numerous local suspects, including individuals connected to jewellery businesses operating in Deesa," explained SP Sumbe. "We aimed to determine any possible involvement in planning the crime or handling the stolen silver property through these investigative measures."

The police continue their manhunt for the absconding mastermind Bharat Rabari and co-accused Deva Rabari while further investigating the intricate network behind this substantial silver heist.
