Patna Street Brawl Turns Deadly: Youth Killed, Two Injured in Knife Attack

A violent street brawl in Patna City claimed the life of a young man and left two others seriously injured on Monday. The incident unfolded in a narrow lane under the jurisdiction of the Chowk police station.

The clash erupted around 1:30 in the afternoon. Two groups of youths engaged in a heated argument that quickly escalated into a physical confrontation.

Three young men sustained severe stab wounds in the assault. Bystanders and locals watched in horror as the situation spiraled out of control.

Emergency Response and Hospitalization

Emergency services rushed the injured youths to medical facilities. Authorities transported one victim to NMCH (Nalanda Medical College and Hospital).

The other two young men received treatment at Guru Gobind Singh Hospital in Patna City. Despite medical efforts, one of them could not survive his injuries.

Victim Identities

The deceased youth has been identified as Bittu Kumar, a 25-year-old resident of Bhagat Singh Chowk. His family and community mourn his untimely death.

The injured individuals are Rakesh Kumar and Ankit Kumar. Both remain under medical care as doctors work to stabilize their conditions.

Police Investigation and Actions

Chowk police officers responded swiftly to the scene. Station House Officer Rajkishore Kumar provided details about the case.

"The clash started over a trivial issue," SHO Kumar explained. "After a brief argument and scuffle, the dispute escalated to the point where one group allegedly pulled out knives and attacked the other group."

Police have already made significant progress in their investigation. They detained one juvenile suspect believed to be the main perpetrator of the stabbing.

Evidence Collection

Investigators seized crucial evidence from the scene. This includes a blood-stained shirt and the detained juvenile's mobile phone.

An FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) team visited the location to collect scientific evidence. Their findings will support the ongoing investigation.

Ongoing Police Efforts

Police have identified other youths involved in the incident. Continuous raids are underway to apprehend these individuals.
