A shocking crime has rocked a residential society in Noida, where a 47-year-old woman was brutally murdered allegedly by her own tenants over a rent collection dispute. The victim, identified as Deepshikha Sharma, was found dead inside her rental apartment, her body concealed in a large red suitcase.
Grim Discovery in Aura Chimera Society
The incident came to light on Tuesday night at the Aura Chimera Society. According to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Nandgram Upasna Pandey, Deepshikha Sharma had visited her other apartment in the same society in the morning to collect the monthly rent from her tenants. When she failed to return home and stopped answering phone calls throughout the day, her family and domestic help grew deeply concerned.
Her maid, accompanied by neighbours, decided to go to the tenants' flat to look for her. It was during this search that they made the horrific discovery. Deepshikha Sharma's body was recovered, stuffed inside a large red bag or suitcase, from within the flat. The police were immediately alerted around 11:15 PM via the Police Response Vehicle (PRV) system.

Acting swiftly on the information, a police team reached the crime scene. The investigation quickly pointed towards the tenants residing in the flat. The police arrested a couple, identified as 35-year-old Ajay Gupta and 33-year-old Akriti Gupta, in connection with the murder.
A case has been registered, and the body has been sent for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. The ACP confirmed that a thorough investigation into the motive and circumstances of the crime is currently underway.
