Noida Airport Gets 2 New Police Stations, 4 Outposts for Enhanced Security
Noida Airport: 2 Police Stations, 4 Outposts Approved

In a significant move to bolster security infrastructure, the Noida police have announced the establishment of two new police stations and four temporary police outposts in the vicinity of the upcoming Noida International Airport (NIA). The decision, announced on Tuesday, comes under the direction of Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh and aims to ensure robust safety for passengers and streamlined traffic management around the crucial transport hub.

Dedicated Police Stations for Domestic and International Terminals

The core of the new security apparatus will be the Jewar Domestic Terminal Police Station and the Jewar International Terminal Police Station. Officials confirmed that the domestic terminal police station will be situated inside the airport building, while the international terminal station will be located outside. This strategic placement ensures dedicated oversight for both passenger flows.

Approval has been granted for a substantial deployment of personnel at the Jewar Domestic Terminal Police Station. The sanctioned strength includes:

  • One Inspector
  • Two Sub-Inspectors
  • Nine Head Constables
  • Three Computer Operators
  • Fifteen Constables
  • Two Constable Drivers
  • Three Class IV employees

This team will be directly responsible for passenger safety, complaint registration, and providing necessary assistance to travelers.

Strategic Outposts for Expressway and Highway Security

Complementing the main police stations, four temporary police outposts are being set up at key junctions leading to the airport. The aim is to provide high-level and swift security, manage traffic effectively, and offer emergency assistance. The approved deployment for these outposts totals 49 police personnel.

The locations of these outposts are strategically chosen across different police station jurisdictions:

  • Jewar Interchange (Jewar police station area)
  • Karaural Underpass (Rabupura police station area)
  • Achheja Cut (Dankaur police station area)
  • Beel Cut (Dadri police station area)

The primary objective is to guarantee safe, smooth, and uninterrupted travel for all vehicles and passengers using the Yamuna Expressway, Eastern Peripheral Expressway, and Delhi-Mumbai Highway to access the airport.

Integration of Modern Technology for Proactive Policing

The new security setup will be far from conventional. All police stations and outposts will be integrated into a modern digital policing system, enabling real-time information exchange and facilitating immediate response to any situation.

Further technological enhancements include:

Modern CCTV cameras with advanced capabilities will be installed in each outpost area. These feeds will be monitored and coordinated from a central control room for quick action during emergencies.

An effective integration system with local hospitals and ambulance services is being established to ensure timely medical relief in case of accidents.

An Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) is being implemented in phases to make traffic control around the airport more effective and streamlined.

Additionally, one dedicated Police Response Vehicle (PRV 112) has been allocated to each of the four temporary outposts on this sensitive route. These vehicles will ensure prompt police assistance is available to passengers in any emergency.

This comprehensive security plan underscores the administration's commitment to making the Noida International Airport a zone of safety and efficiency, leveraging both human resources and cutting-edge technology.
