In a shocking incident, a newborn baby boy was allegedly kidnapped from a hospital's labour room in Rohini, Delhi, on Tuesday. The unidentified woman, who had befriended the mother during her hospital stay, fled with the infant under false pretenses, sparking an immediate police investigation.

According to police reports, a PCR call was received around 9 am on Tuesday, alerting authorities to the kidnapping of a newborn from a hospital located in Sector 6, Rohini. The child's mother, a resident of Narela, had been admitted to the hospital on February 12 and gave birth to a baby boy two days later.
During her time in the labour ward, an unknown woman repeatedly visited the new mother, gradually building trust through her interactions. Investigators stated that around 5 am, this woman allegedly took the newborn on the pretext of feeding him milk. When the mother woke up approximately three hours later at 8 am, both the woman and her baby were missing, prompting the urgent police response.
Swift Police Action and Rescue
Additional Commissioner of Police (Rohini) Rajeev Ranjan provided crucial updates on the case. "The child was found on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway with two people," he confirmed, highlighting the successful rescue operation. The police acted swiftly upon receiving the report, tracing the suspects and recovering the infant from the expressway location.
Arrests Made in Connection with the Case
Following the rescue, law enforcement officials arrested two individuals linked to the kidnapping. The accused have been identified as Ahibaran Saxena and a 40-year-old woman, whose name has not been disclosed publicly.
