According to police reports, one of the girls informed her mother about experiencing 'bad touch' by the accused, prompting two other girls to come forward with similar accounts of their ordeal. Acting swiftly on a complaint filed by the mother of one of the victims, authorities registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the accused at 9:30 PM on the same day.
The police arrested the 70-year-old suspect at 10:00 PM, demonstrating rapid response to the serious allegations. Devender Pol, senior inspector of the NRI Coastal police station, confirmed that the accused has been charged under multiple legal provisions.
"The arrested accused was booked under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for assault or criminal force against a woman with intent to outrage her modesty, along with the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act," stated Senior Inspector Pol, emphasizing the gravity of the charges.

Investigating officer API Yogesh Gaikwad provided further details about the legal process following the arrest. "The accused was produced before a local court on March 27, and was remanded to magistrate custody," said Gaikwad, indicating that the judicial process has commenced.
