Body Found with Severe Injuries
Late Tuesday night, the body of Manoj Kumar Rai was discovered lying on the road with severe injuries. The deceased, identified as a 35-year-old resident, was found in a pool of blood, prompting immediate concern among locals who alerted authorities.
With assistance from residents, Manoj was rushed to Sadar Hospital. Unfortunately, doctors declared him dead upon arrival, confirming the fatal nature of his wounds. The discovery has left family members devastated and demanding justice.
Family Alleges Targeted Murder Over Illicit Relationship
Manoj's family members have made serious allegations, claiming he was targeted for opposing his wife's illicit relationship with another man. According to his mother, Munni Devi, the victim had been married to Nishu Kumari for ten years, and the couple had two daughters aged seven and five.
Munni Devi alleged that Nishu was involved in an inappropriate relationship with a man working at a jewellery shop. When Manoj discovered this and confronted his wife, heated arguments ensued. The family claims Manoj had obtained objectionable photos and video call screenshots as evidence of the affair.
Confrontation Leads to Deadly Plot
Police reports indicate that on Tuesday afternoon, Manoj allegedly caught his wife in a compromising position with her lover. This discovery angered him, leading to physical altercation where he beat his wife and demanded she leave their home.
Nishu subsequently informed her lover about the incident and departed from the residence. Later that evening, Manoj received a phone call and went outside, where police suspect he was lured to a deserted location.
Investigators believe the murder was premeditated, with the assailants using a sharp weapon to slit Manoj's throat. The brutality of the attack suggests careful planning rather than spontaneous violence.
