Morena Firing Incident: Neighbors Accuse One-Year-Old of Phone Theft

In a shocking and bizarre event, armed neighbors allegedly opened fire at a house in Morena district of Madhya Pradesh. They accused a one-year-old girl of stealing a mobile phone. The incident occurred in Badgaon Navli village under the Dimni police station limits.

Details of the Alleged Attack

According to the complaint, the firing took place on January 8. Abhishek Tomar and Chhotu Tomar, along with their associates, targeted the house of Bhura Tomar. Bhura Tomar reported to the police that the accused claimed his infant daughter had stolen their mobile phone.

He dismissed the allegation as baseless. The child can barely stand or walk, making such a theft impossible. No one sustained injuries during the firing, but the family experienced severe terror.

Underlying Land Dispute

Bhura Tomar alleged that the attack stemmed from an old land dispute with Abhishek Tomar. This dispute was recently resolved in Bhura's favor. He claimed the accused were nursing a grudge over the loss of the land and used the firing to intimidate his family.

Police Response and Investigation

Initially, when Bhura approached Dimni police station to file a complaint, the police refused to register the case. They cited a counter-complaint accusing his infant daughter of mobile phone theft. Following this refusal, the family sought help during a public hearing on Tuesday.

Bhura submitted a written application to the superintendent of police at the hearing. Police acknowledged a long-standing rivalry between the two parties. They stated that prima facie, the allegation of a one-year-old child stealing a mobile phone does not appear correct.

A case has now been registered in connection with the incident. An investigation is currently underway to uncover the full facts and motives behind this alarming event.
